Privacy Policy

Rockville-Tolland SDA Church app · Effective 29 August 2026

This policy describes what the Rockville-Tolland SDA Church mobile app collects, why, and what happens to it. The app has no accounts and no sign-in: nothing is collected until you choose to send it.

Information you provide

The app sends information to the church only when you submit one of its forms.

These are free-text fields, so what reaches us is whatever you write in them. That may include information you consider sensitive — for example, remarks about your religious beliefs or your relationship with the church. We treat everything you send as personal correspondence with the congregation.

Information collected automatically

What the app does not collect

How the information is used

It is not used for advertising or profiling, and there is no mailing list.

Who it is shared with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other companies or organisations. Form submissions go to the church's own server and are read by church staff.

The app contacts two hosts in normal use:

Security

All communication between the app and every service it contacts is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. The app is built so that unencrypted connections are refused outright.

Keeping and deleting your information

Messages and event submissions are kept for as long as they are useful to the congregation. You may ask us to delete anything you have sent, at any time, and you may ask what we hold. Write to it@rockvilletollandsda.church and we will confirm when it is done.

Children

The app is intended for a general audience — the congregation and anyone interested in the church — and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update it here and revise the effective date above.
